The 'Error icon' property opens the 'Specify Image' dialog.

This property can be seen once the 'Error style' property has been set to 'icon'. Clicking the ... button next to the 'Error icon' property will open the 'Specify Image' dialog. This will allow you to add a icon from a number of locations:

SVG Icon

Adds an SVG icon to appear whenever there is a validation error. If you are using the 'Alpha' Style name, this will give you access to a large number of pre-defined SVG icons. You can set the color fill and stroke for this instance of this icon by using the tools in the 'SVG Icon' dialog. To define your own SVG icons see 'Local SVG definitions' page.

CSS Icon

CSS icons are rendered using a special font that is loaded by a CSS stylesheet.

Image in Web Project or Style

Allows you to load icons (bmp, gif, jpg, and png) from a desktop into the project folder. These images can then be stored in a project image library and can be re-used with other components in the project.

Built-in Image

Allows you to add System Images, Addin Images, Windows Images, and Current Workspace Images. 'System Images' are the built in Alpha Anywhere bitmaps, 'Addin Images' are bitmaps loaded by addins, 'Windows Images' are bitmaps defined by Windows, and 'Current Workspace Images' are bitmaps stored in a workspace or 'ADB' file.

URL for external Image

Adds a icon to be added using an external image URL, simply enter the URL into a textbox to add the image.

Image defined by Component Style

This setting appears when the Style name property is set to 'Alpha'. You can select a different image to override the image defined in the style. Your selection will apply to this component only. Other components based on the current style will still use the image defined in the style.
